The Challenge

A warehouse required the installation of a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) guidance system to maximise storage capacity and ensure safe, precise movement of their VNA trucks. This involved not only preparing the floor but also installing a reliable guidance system that would allow trucks to navigate the narrow aisles with complete accuracy.

Our Approach & Result

Our team carried out a complete package of preparation and installation works. We began by cutting a 360m straight groove line along the aisles with our diamond floor saw. The guidance wiring was then carefully installed within the groove, which was sealed with epoxy to both protect the wiring and leave the floor surface smooth and durable.

In addition, we cored 30 holes across the entryways of each aisle before placing high-strength magnets, which were also sealed with epoxy to ensure longevity and accuracy.

Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) systems are designed to help warehouses maximise their storage capacity without expanding their footprint. By reducing aisle widths to just 1.5–2m, warehouses can increase density, but this requires a precise guidance system for the specialised VNA trucks that operate in these narrow spaces.

For this project, our team was responsible for delivering the foundation of that guidance system. We cut and prepared a 360m straight groove line with our diamond concrete floor saw, placed the wiring neatly within it, and sealed everything with epoxy for durability and smooth operation.

To complete the work, we also cored 30 holes across the entryways of each aisle and installed strong magnets, each carefully sealed with epoxy. These magnets act as position markers, ensuring that trucks stay perfectly aligned throughout the aisles.

By combining careful preparation with precise execution, we delivered a system that allows VNA trucks to operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
